On Saturday 29th March 2014 the club held its annual presentation evening at Kirkheaton Cricket Club. Prizes were given in various categories for athletes who had been nominated over the last year. It was a very successful evening with bar, food and of course our popular annual junior and adult quizzes (Quizzes thanks to Rachael Scholes and Steve Clark). The room was full with members, relatives and friends so much so that we may even have to consider a larger venue in future!

Thanks to all who arranged it, to David Owen (for ensuring the trophies were polished and ready for him to announce the winners); to Neil Watson who presented the prizes in the absence of our President Ian Mitchell (Ian is abroad in preparation for and assault on Mount Everest!); to Sally and Steve Crank for organising the food and to those who brought supplies!

The Committee have tried to nominate athletes who not only show promise but also commitment to the club and the sport over a longer period of time. It is always difficult to choose as there are so many talented people.

Please don't be disappointed if you were not one of the trophy winners, you are still a valuable part of our club, and there is always next time... We hope the awards inspire you to even greater things in the coming year!
